My approach to photography is influenced by over 5 decades of camera work, and 3 decades of teaching traditional photography, visual communication and digital imaging.
My imagery is an amalgamation of influences of not only the masters in traditional photography, but also the abstract expressionists in photography, painting and design.
My technique and approach evolved from early training in engineering where accuracy, precision and comprehensive research were instilled as mandatory in the exploration of process, technology and ideas.
My workflow has become an instinctive stream of conscious. A ramble through geometry, shape and form, color, light, rhythm and spontaneity. Each decision is predicated on the result of the last. It is largely a freeform approach...highly improvisational. It is a totally immersive process where the possibilities are seemingly limitless and no boundaries need to beĀ found.
